Effective Post Card Marketing

Do you know why you see so many post cards being mailed today? It simply works. Why do postcards work so well?
One reason is that its natural to look and see who sent you the postcard. Also most people end up reading them since your promotion material is written right on the card. Nothing to open up. Where as letters in a plain envelope end up in the trash without even being opened. Another great thing about postcards is they are less expensive to mail than envelopes.

You can use postcards to generate leads, sales, ask potential buyers to give you a try, or give your existing customers an incentive to buy more often.

Your job is to get your potential customers to see that your product, service, or program will solve a problem of theirs. Let them know how they will feel when your product, service, or program will eliminate their problem.

Repeat mailings are effective in that they remind your customers what they are missing out on by not having your product, service, or program. One effective strategy is to reward customers for taking immediate action and penalizing those who do not. Offer a special discount or bonus to those who order before a certain date.

One thing you need to overcome when mailing postcards is trust. That is you must make your potential customer trust you and your business. Some great ways to overcome this is to give testimonials from satisfied customers. Testimonials alone are not enough. You also should eliminate their risk, by giving them a money back guarantee. That way they have no reason not to buy from you. Another thing that helps overcome this problem is to include ways for them to communicate with you. To get their questions and concerns answered. Add an email address and a phone number to your mailings.

Your sales material must be catchy and draw attention. It must also provide all the information your customer needs to take the next step.

The very last thing I want to touch on is who you mail your post cards too. You don't want to mail them to just anyone. You want to mail them to your target market. If you are selling products for dogs, you would want to target dog owners. If you are selling business opportunities or mlm programs you would want a list of people who have an interest in such a program. How do you get a list of people? The easiest way is to buy a mailing list of people that target the audience you are looking for.
